It was only a week ago when we stood at the 7th Circuit as the plaintiff couples and their legal teams told the Court how Wisconsin and Indiana’s marriage bans harm real families every single day.

Last week during oral arguments, it was abundantly clear that the panel of three judges had had enough with the state lawyers and their circular logic defending our state’s marriage ban.

It gave us the hope we needed—but we knew there was no guarantee for victory.

Then today, the 7th Circuit upheld the lower court’s ruling—and stood with a majority of Wisconsinites—in ruling that it is unconstitutional to deny marriage to same-sex couples!
