Statewide Groups

Diverse and Resilient
A nonprofit organization whose mission is the healthy development of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) people in Wisconsin through the development of groups and communities to take action.

GSA for Safe Schools
A public benefit organization committed to safe middle schools and high schools for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender youths and all students.

Wisconsin Rainbow Families
A volunteer organization and community space dedicated to supporting LGBT families and friends located throughout the state of Wisconsin.

Appleton

Lawrence University GLB and Women’s Reading Room
Lawrence University’s Resource Room, which offers the community a unique collection of books, magazines, videos, pamphlets, and other kinds of resources.

Harmony Cafe
Cafe near Lawrence University, offering a
safe and peaceful place to celebrate diversity of people, ideas and activities.  Go to the “Programs & Services” section of their website to find LGBT-specific programming. There are Harmony Cafes in both Appleton and Green Bay.

Rainbow Over Wisconsin
Rainbow Over Wisconsin financially assists the work of local and regional groups serving the LGBT community in central, eastern and northeast Wisconsin.

Toward Community
Promotes appreciation for the growing diversity in the Fox Valley and advocates justice for people of all cultures and ethnic backgrounds.

Valued Families
Promotes family equality for Fox Valley LGBT parents and their children by providing social networking, education, community outreach, and advocacy to increase recognition and respect for LGBT families in our community.

De Pere

St. Norbert College Rainbow Alliance
Rainbow Alliance is an educational group dedicated to the support and acceptance of LGBTQQIA (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, intersex, and asexual) individuals at St. Norbert College and in the local and larger communities.

Eau Claire

UW-Eau Claire Spectrum
Works to educate about LGBTQA people, as well as raise awareness of LGBTQA people at the UW-Eau Claire campus.  We strive to alleviate isolation and provide support to LGBTQA people as well as their straight allies.

LGBT Community Center of the Chippewa Valley
Provides a gathering place and resources for LGBT people and their allies.

Green Bay

Harmony Cafe
A community cafe offering a safe and peaceful place to celebrate diversity of people, ideas and activities.  Go to the “Programs & Services” section of their website to find LGBT-specific programming.  There are Harmony Cafes in both Appleton and Green Bay.

Sexuality and Gender Alliance-Fair Wisconsin
Fair Wisconsin’s student group at UW-Green Bay, committed to educating the campus on all sexualities and genders and providing a safe space for students.

Positive Voice
Positive Voice supports all lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning individuals, their families and allies through community outreach and education, as well as collaborative and social activities. Provides monthly activities and resources.

Pride Alive
Free, day-long LGBT celebration each summer.

Kenosha

UW-Parkside LGBT Resource Center
Provides resources and LGBT education at UW-Parkside.

Rainbow Alliance
Rainbow Alliance is the organization at UW-Parkside which advocates for the rights of people whose sexual orientations, sexual preferences, gender identities, or gender expressions do not easily conform to societal standards.

La Crosse

LGBT Resource Center for the Seven Rivers Region
The LGBT Community Center based in La Crosse.

UW-La Crosse Pride Center
The Pride Center is devoted to serving students and members of the campus community that may or may not label themselves as queer, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, gay, intersex or questioning, asexual individuals their allies (LGBTIQQAA) and students with LGBTIQQAA parents.

Madison

The Business Alliance
The Business Alliance is comprised of professionals, businesses & their associates to provide networking opportunities, community support & professional education.

OUTReach
LGBT Community Center that offers a safe space, support groups, and activities for all ages.

AIDS Network
Provides prevention and care services for those with HIV/AIDS through a network of local partners.

UW Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender Alumni Council (GLBTAC)
Provides a recognized forum that facilitates dialogue and relationships between the university and its gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender alumni and encourages and supports a positive social and academic environment throughout the university community for gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender faculty, staff, and students.

UW – Madison LGBT Campus Center
The LGBTCC provides support, social, educational, and research services to the campus community. Serving as an open meeting place for all queer students and organizations, the LGBTCC welcomes all who are in need of a place to relax or study.

indieQueer
Hosts dance parties for Queer people in Madison in various locations around town.

UW – Madison Ten Percent Society (TPS)
The Ten Percent Society is an LGBTQA social organization that focuses on providing a safe space for LGBTQ students and allies.  We do dances, play board games, play laser tag, and other social events for anyone who’s interested.

QLaw
QLaw is a student organization dedicated to serving the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender (LGBT) community at the University of Wisconsin Law School.

Wisconsin Capitol Pride
The Madison area’s annual LBGT Pride celebration.

Dairyland Cowboys and Cowgirls
A collective of Madison and Midwestern gay men, lesbians, bisexuals, and friends dedicated to promoting country and popular line dancing in a fun and supportive environment.

Perfect Harmony
Perfect Harmony Men’s Chorus is Madison’s gay and gay-friendly men’s chorus

StageQ
Produces gay, lesbian, and other queer-focused theater productions and works authored by gay and lesbian playwrights.

Frontiers
Frontiers is one of south-central Wisconsin’s leading social, discussion and activity clubs for gay and bisexual men. Dedicated to exploring new ideas and providing a friendly environment for social interaction, Frontiers serves a broad segment of the gay community through a varied offering of stimulating programs and activities.

A Woman’s Touch
A Woman’s Touch is a woman-owned and operated sexuality boutique that focuses on women’s perspectives on sex and sensuality in the Midwestern United States.

Proud Theater
Proud Theater is a youth theater program designed to foster self-expression and self-empowerment for Madison-area youth.  It is open to any youth who identify as gay, lesbian,  bisexual,  transgender,  or queer/questioning (LGBTQ), or who are the sons or daughters of LGBTQ parents, or allies of the LGBTQ community at large.

Menominee

Out At Stout
Out@Stout is UW-Stout’s student organization for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and ally students.

Milwaukee

UWM LGBT Resource Center
Provides resources, a safe space and education for LGBT students and the Milwaukee community.

Milwaukee LGBT Community Center
Milwaukee LGBT Community Center is a home to the LGBT population of metro Milwaukee, providing culturally sensitive and competent educational, social, and health and wellness services that meet the needs of LGBT youth, adults and their allies.

MATC Rainbow Club
Provides a safe space, support and resources for MATC and the community.

Marquette University’s GSA
The Gay-Straight Alliance at Marquette University

Cream City Foundation
A community based foundation focused on funding lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) programs and organizations working towards social change in southeastern Wisconsin.

Gay Youth Milwaukee
A support and social group primarily for Milwaukee area gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and questioning youth in high school that provides a safe place for them to meet and discuss their issues and concerns.

PrideFest
Wisconsin’s largest Pride celebration, including bands, speakers, parades, and other activities for all ages.

Senior Action in a Gay Environment (SAGE) Milwaukee
A group for LGBT seniors.

Black and White Men Together Milwaukee
A gay, multi-racial, multi-cultural organization established in 1981 as an outlet for social interaction for men of all ethnic persuasions. They are committed to fostering a better understanding of issues across color lines and combating discrimination in the LGBT community and society at large.

Lesbian Alliance of Metro Milwaukee
A group of Milwaukee-area women who love women, committed to collaboration, communication, community, fairness, and relationships.

Milwaukee Gay Arts Center
The MGAC’s primary purpose is to serve and promote the betterment of the Milwaukee LGBT community through providing a safe, secure and friendly environment for LGBT artists to express, display and perform LGBT relevant visual and performing arts as well as provide arts related educational opportunities.

Oshkosh

Rainbow Alliance
An educational and support organization for the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer/Questioning, and Ally (LGBTQA) community. Each year they host events for Coming OUT week, World AIDS Day, Transgender Awareness Day, National Day of Silence, Bisexual, Lesbian, Gay Awareness Days (BGLAD) Week and many other events.

Platteville

UW-Platteville Alliance
The Alliance provides both a forum for discussion of relevant political issues, social activities, support, and education about gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and curious individuals and allies. We also work to promote understanding and acceptance in the UWP community, the city of Platteville, southwest Wisconsin, and beyond.

Racine

LGBT Center of Southeastern Wisconsin
Offers support groups, HIV testing, business resources, community resources for LGBT people of all ages, fim, art galleries, and much more!

Richland Center

The Pioneers
Provides a safe space, support and resources for the Southwest Wisconsin LGBT community.

Stevens Point

UW-Stevens Point GSA
Provides social, emotional, and education support group for the gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and ally populations on campus and in the surrounding communities.

Superior

Queer and Allied Student Union
A student organization providing support for students identifying as gay, lesbian, bisexual, transexual, transgendered, questioning individuals, friends, families and allies at UW-Superior.

Whitewater

UW-Whitewater Impact
IMPACT is a student union of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, and Straight Ally (LGBTQA) students at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.
