2015 Madison Leadership Awards Tammy Baldwin Statewide Impact of the Year: ACLU of Wisconsin

MSN LA 2015 ACLU

Each year in Madison, Fair Wisconsin gathers members of the LGBT community, allies, activists and policy makers to recognize those who have made significant contributions to the advancement of LGBT equality in Wisconsin.

The 2015 Madison Leadership Awards Tammy Baldwin Statewide Impact Award recipient is ACLU of Wisconsin.

Since 1920, the ACLU has been the nation’s guardian of liberty, working daily in courts, legislatures and communities to defend and preserve the individual rights and liberties that the Constitution and laws of the United States guarantee everyone in this country. The ACLU is best known for litigation efforts as the country’s largest public interest law organization.  Many of the ACLU’s ground-breaking cases have changed lives and made history, including the Wolf v. Walker case, which brought the freedom to marry to Wisconsin.

The Fair Wisconsin Madison Leadership Awards Brunch is one of our annual signature events supporting Fair Wisconsin Education Fund. Join Fair Wisconsin Education Fund as we honor leaders and activists who stand up for fairness and advance equality for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender Wisconsinites.
