Join us as we celebrate this groundbreaking volume on gay history in Wisconsin, honor historian and activist Dick Wagner, and support the important work of Fair Wisconsin.

Dick was the first openly gay member of the Dane County Board of Supervisors, where he served for fourteen years. In 1983 he was appointed by Governor Tony Earl to co-chair the Governor’s Council on Lesbian and Gay Issues, the first in the nation. In 2005 he joined the Board of Fair Wisconsin to fight the constitutional amendment against marriage equality.

Fair Wisconsin Education Fund advances, achieves and protects the civil rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer people through advocacy, education, and civic engagement efforts to change the hearts and minds of policy makers and the general public.
